This ski area has been closed since 2000; however, The Cuchara Foundation has been working with Huerfano County Public Park to rehabbing Lift 4 at Cuchara Mountain Park and return skiing to Cuchara over the last few years. They are close to final inspections and certification of the chairlift. They are working hard to bring truly affordable, family-friendly lift-served skiing to Cuchara Mountain Park for Winter 2022/23!
Cuchara Mountain Park in Cuchara, Colorado is home to 50 acres of natural, forested land in the San Isabel National Forest that provides outdoor recreation. Discover what makes Huerfano County special; spend an afternoon, weekend, or vacation exploring this year-round park.
Lift 4 will provide access to the rest of the mountain providing access to human powered skiing and other recreational opportunities.
