Spruce Lodge South Fork

Built in 1926, and now on the National Register of Historic Places, our main lodge offers rustic elegance and historic charm. Originally built as a boarding house for South Fork's sawmill workers, the main lobby boasts a beautiful native river rock fireplace, hardwood floors, and old-time ambiance.

On request, the Spruce Lodge is the only hotel in town that will serve you a full hot breakfast.

Our beautiful cedar wood hot tub room is spacious and comfortable. The tub seats six and is a great placed to relax.

Our friendly owner/concierge will ensure you a hassle-free stay by anticipating and responding to your needs as well as explaining, recommending and reserving the best South Fork has to offer. We rent rafts so you can gently guide yourself down the nearby Rio Grande river.

The beautiful new Rio Grande Club 18-hole golf course runs along the river behind our lodge. The Wolf Creek Ski Area is on the east side of Wolf Creek pass and so are we! We are only 18 miles east of the ski area. We are just a half mile east of the center of town, a great base camp for all your mountain adventures.
