Rusty Spurr Ranch is Colorado's premier horse outfit as featured on Colorado Getaways. We offer a variety of unique experiences to accommodate any equine-related desire our guests have. From punchin' cattle on 10,000 plus acres of open range to riding through the tranquil aspen and evergreen-filled mountain forests for unrivaled panoramic views of the Continental Divide, Never Summer, and Gore ranges, you are sure to leave with memories of Colorado's rugged beauty etched in your memory. Our unique products, such as the all-day Saddle & Paddle and Cattle Drives, will ensure that you capitalize on all that Colorado has to offer. The Rusty Spurr embodies the essence of the West with our authentic staff of cowboys and cowgirls and vast expanse of undeveloped and highly diversified terrain. A ride with us will make you feel as though you stepped back in time 150 years to the days when the Ute Indians rode the very same land. Trail Rides "THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT A HORSE THAT'S GOOD FOR THE SOUL."
What better way to view the beauty of Colorado's wilderness than from the back of a horse? Our small ride sizes and non-nose-to-tail rides ensure that our guests receive the personal attention they deserve to have a truly interactive horseback experience. Our remote location, conveniently accessed from scenic Highway 9, ensures the preservation of the same wildlife and landscape that the first settlers discovered in the 19th century. It is not uncommon for guests to encounter deer, elk, antelope and other large game on our rides. You won't find noise from condo construction or other activities here. The whispering of the wind and the steady beat of your horses hooves are all that you will hear as they carry you through forests of aspen and pine to the breathtaking, mountain top vista of six different mountain ranges and back down through the fragrant, sage-filled high plains desert. 2007 Season Activities & Rates:CATTLE DRIVE: $135/person (includes lunch) SADDLE & PADDLE (AM/PM): $135/person (includes lunch) 2HR TRAIL RIDE: $60/person 3HR TRAIL RIDE: $90/person 2HR PRIVATE RIDES: $120/person* 3HR PRIVATE RIDES: $180/person* LUNCH: $15.00 POLICIES:
