Discover a stress-free environment with the wide open spaces of Pleasant View Resort. Our completely modern and fully equipped housekeeping cabins include microwaves, queen and twin beds, along with cable television. Knotty pine wood walls and oak cowboy furniture remind us of times gone by. Relax on your own covered porch as you gaze at the pleasant view! It's almost too much! Your dinner is on the grill. The Aspen are twinkling and the hummingbirds are buzzing above your head. A playground awaits the children while adults are finishing a game of horseshoes. The local hiking trails include five 14,000' peaks; Sunshine, Wetterhorn, Handies, Red Cloud, and Uncompahgre. FREE WI-FI - high speed internet.

The Alpine Loop begins in Lake City and takes you over Cinnamon Pass to Silverton then back again over Engineer Pass in a Jeep or an ATV rented on site. You will have seen American Basin and photographed Whitmore Falls. The loop follows Henson Creek past old mining towns back to Lake City where it joins the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River. Such trout streams are admired by fly fishermen from afar. Walk down the street to shops and restaurants and take your camera to the quaint Victorian downtown.

Local Horseback riding arranged at a nearby outfitter. Life is so fun when it is so slow.

We feature accommodations and activities for groups and family reunions. Location: In Lake City on Highway 149 at the south end of town. PO Box 174, Lake City, Colorado 81235; 970-944-2262. Jim & Nita Arnold, owners.

Colorado ATV Rentals Rent our new Polaris and Arctic Cat ATVs so you can explore the best riding trails in Colorado. Trails in the Lake City, Gunnison, Crested Butte and Taylor Park areas provide days of off-road enjoyment!
