719-748-3401
Waterfront camping, scenic vistas, uncrowded boating and ideal wind conditions for sailing and windsurfing make Eleven Mile a best bet for all visitors. Fishing! When its good at SPINNEY MOUNTAIN STATE PARK -- it is hard to beat! Home to trophy-sized cutthroat trout, as well as rainbows, browns and northern pike, Spinney provides excellent belly boating, shore fishing and trolling opportunities for anglers. This 2,500 surface-acre reservoir serves as an isolated retreat for visitors seeking beautiful views of the Collegiate Mountain Range and is open seasonally from ice-off to ice-on (approximately Mid-April through Mid-November). Spinney Mountain is a day-use only park, open 1/2 hour before sunrise and closing an hour after sunset.
