Copper Mountain Stables provides Summit County and Vail Valley Colorado with some of the most beautiful Trail Rides and Sleigh Rides around. Our winter activities include Scenic Sleigh Rides and our Dining In The Woods Dinner Sleigh Rides which are one of the finest dining experiences in Summit County. We offer a wide variety of summer activities including Trail Rides, Pack Trips, Hunting trips, Dinner and Breakfast rides. We are here to provide the guests of Colorado a memorable experience for the whole family. The most popular excursion options at Copper Mountain Stables are the trail rides which are offered in one and two hour increments. Half day trips that include lunch are also available. Enjoy a scenic walking trail ride in the high country of Colorado that traverses the mountains through lush green meadows and forests. Picturesque wild flowers and wonderful views of the Ten Mile Range, Gore Range and Jacques Peak. For horseback riders - age requirement is 7 yrs old. Weight limit is 250 lbs. Clothing recommendations: Hat, long pants, rain coat or light jacket & closed toed shoes or boots. Bring water if you like, but definitely don't forget your camera! Riding helmets available upon request For the cowboys and cowgirls who are too young to ride we offer pony rides from 10am-3pm 7 days a week. BREAKFAST RIDES Early morning ride with a free breakfast. Come in and work up a hearty appetite on horseback on your way to our Breakfast Camp. For those too young, old or don't want to ride we offer a wagon ride to our breakfast site with a spectacular view of the Ten Mile Range. After everybody arrives at camp enjoy sitting by the camp fire and eating a gourmet western breakfast. Minimum of 10 guests. Maximum of 15 guests on wagon and 25 on horseback. Reservations must be made 24 hrs in advance DINNER RIDES Evening ride with a dinner breakfast. Get in the saddle or on a horse drawn wagon and ride into the high country where you'll sit down by our camp fire and enjoy a western dinner of steak, chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans and all it's fixin's. Vegetarian meals also available upon request at time of reservation. Maximum of 15 guests on wagon and 25 on horseback. Reservations must be made 24 hrs in advance DINNER SLEIGH RIDES One of the many "Must Do" experiences at Copper Mountain is the Dinner Sleigh Rides. Our guests snuggle under warm blankets for the twenty minute ride through snow covered woods while being pulled by a beautiful team of draft horses. When you arrive at the cozy miner's tent, you'll find a live entertainment playing different kinds of music and wait staff ready to serve hot drinks. The tent offers a full cash bar and a complete wine list suited to compliment any dinner. After finishing coffee you are treated to a sleigh ride back to the center of Copper. SCENIC SLEIGH RIDES Snuggle under warm blankets as you enjoy a 30 minute sleigh ride through Copper's enchanted woods. Snuggle under warm blankets as you enjoy a 60 minute scenic sleigh rides where we serve s'mores. WILDERNESS PACK TRIP If a long stay in the wilderness is your idea of a perfect Colorado getaway, a Wilderness Pack Trip may be just the ticket. On these excursions, wranglers join you on your adventure, taking care of packing the horses and mules, setting up camp and cooking the vittles. Prices vary on length of stay. HUNTING If a hunting trip is in your future, Copper Mountain Stables and Chinook Winds Outfitters want to team up to make it unforgettable. With an experienced staff of professional guides, you'll have the upper hand in making the most of your annual trip. Excursions and drop camps are available during different time periods throughout the fall including archery, muzzleloader and rifle seasons. Chinook Winds Outfitters offers full service hunting camps in the beautiful high country of Colorado in units 37, 371 and 28. All hunts are led by professional hunting guides that are experienced in hunting elk, deer and bear. Our camps are near timberline and are horse or foot accessible only. At camp we will take care of all your food needs with a gourmet cook.. We will provide you with a great hunting experience with all of our focus on getting you your permitted animal.
